Manually download updates and apply them.
Hi,
Due to the network issue, I always failed to download update. How to manually download updates and apply them?

You can generate an update file from https://wingware.com/update and then apply it using Apply Update in Wing's Help menu.

I think that it is brilliant that the Wing IDE developers have provided this mechanism - well done all!
I do think that it may deserve more attention as it can help just about anybody stuck behind a corporate firewall. Maybe a "Browser Request Update" menu entry next to "Check for Updates"?

Yes, this would be good. Wing does show this url if an update check fails to connect to wingware.com, but of course not everyone would think to try it if they know they're on a computer that can't connect to the inter. Thanks!
