Menu bar does not display

  • retag add tags

I recently upgraded my machine to Ubuntu 22.04.03 LTS and the latest wing pro version 10.0.1.3

The menu bar will not display across the top of the application. My only access to the menu is using the 3 horizontal lines in the top right. If I select Show Menubar, the menu does not display and it disappears from the main menu that opens from the top right icon. I checked that I'm not using the full size presentation mode. I'm wondering if this is some issue with Ubuntu / Wing, but I'm not sure where to start.

I did not have this issue before I updated Ubuntu from 20.04.03 LTS.

Thanks

FWIW I'm not seeing this on 22.04.04 and the menu bar is shown correctly inside Wing's window. It may be some setting in Ubuntu but I'm not yet finding anything definitive on this. I see a lot of reports of the problem in general (not specific to Wing) but no clear solution. Some people seem to say removing and reinstalling unity-control-center or gnome-control-center solves it but I can't verify that this is correct. I'll add another comment if I find anything else.
