apt remove wing does not remove the application

hmm thats possible.... i might have tried the tarball installer trying to get Wing8 to work on Debian10. Once there is an Wing8 that works on Debian10 I will install via the .deb and uninstall and report back.

You apparently have also installed Wing 8 into /usr/local/lib, presumably from the .tar installer. The .deb installs into /usr/lib/wingpro8 and I suspect that was removed correctly.
