Use WingIDE to debug mpi applications

Hi,Is it possible to debug a parallel python application (parallelization implemented using mpi4py) using wingide? If so, is it possible to do it on a remote server?

Thanks,

As far as I know there's nothing special about MPI so it should work, but we don't have setup instructions specifically for it.  Some notes:

1) If MPI is starting sub-processes then whether or not we can debug those automatically depends on how they are started, although with very many processes that probably isn't wanted anyway and you would instead used wingdbstub to initiate debug in the particular contexts where you want it.

2) Whether it's running remotely or locally is an independent consideration... in general it should work to use Wing 6's remote development capabilities in the same way as working locally.

Please let me know if you have other questions.
